The minimum Hawaii
car insurance coverage contains protection for you and
your passengers of $10,000 per person in
personal injury protection (PIP). This covers
your own medical and rehabilitation expenses resulting
from an accident, regardless of who was at fault.
You must also
insure against bodily injury (BI), which pays for injury
you cause others. The minimum amount of bodily
injury coverage you may purchase is $20,000 per person,
and $40,000 per accident for all injuries.
As for damage to
yours or the other driver's car or personal property,
whoever is at fault in the accident is held financially
responsible for those.
You may think
buying Hawaii car insurance is an expensive
proposition…but driving without it can be even more
expensive. Don't risk your own life or the lives of
others! Make sure you buy plenty of Hawaii car insurance
protection.
